Although certain benefits were always in place at QED42, we never really considered them as perks. They were a part of our culture and a step towards attaining a healthy work-life balance.

Flexible work hours
Here at QED42, we encourage our employees to structure their day as per their convenience with a required overlap with their team members. Flexible work hours allow our employees to go biking in the mountains, cook their favorite meals, spend time with family, and run to grocery stores without worrying about being stuck in a 9-5 job.
100% Remote work culture
QED42 has been remote-friendly since its inception. 99.99% of our teams work from home. We also provide work-from-home setups, so that you’re well equipped and settled in, before getting started. We also offer the flexibility of choosing to work from a co-working office space in your city. Many QEDians also opt for a hybrid workspace, in case they feel fit. This has helped QEDians maintain a comfortable work-life balance and also save time on commuting to work, allowing for a happier and healthier work environment.

QEDians get a referral bonus based on our 2-Tier referral policy program every time a new candidate is referred and on-boarded. This encourages existing QEDians to help recruit suitable employees from amongst their social circle and stay motivated to bring in new and fresh talent to the team.
Gratuity and Provident Fund
An amount commensurate with your salary is contributed by QED42 (and as an employee, as per the Provident Funds Act, India) as Gratuity and Provident Fund. The PF amount helps employees save up for the future and in turn as a token of appreciation to QEDians who have been with us for 5 years, we provide them with a gratuity that helps aid in their retirement.
At QED42, we believe everyone needs their ‘me’ time and we value that immensely. Whether you’re looking for a vacation leave, a sabbatical, a celebration, or a loss, we’ve got your back.
A consolidated leave structure
All QEDians are eligible for 21 days of consolidated leave from their date of joining. This includes taking vacations, sick leaves, paid time off, and taking off due to unforeseen situations.
Paid maternity leaves
We offer 26 weeks for the first two children and 12 weeks for the third child, in compliance with Maternity Benefit Act, India. This helps our female employees focus on the beautiful change of life that is to come without having to worry about work. We also send maternity hampers to our moms and their little ones.
We offer 30 days of Paternity leaves. This allows our QEDians to spend quality time with their family and themselves and make a smooth transition into a beautiful phase of life that awaits them.
Miscarriage and bereavement leaves
We offer 45 days in case of a miscarriage and 10 days in case of the loss of a close family member. We believe that these are difficult times and look to extend our support during such duress, always.
Paid sabbatical leaves
This is our way of pampering the employees who’ve been with us for a long duration. We offer 30 days of paid sabbatical leaves upon the completion of 5 years with the company.
We offer 12 weeks in case of child adoptions. This helps fellow QEDians to adapt to the beautiful changes in life and make a smooth transition into it, without having to worry about work, cause we’ve got their back!
At QED42, we value your physical and mental well-being and make no compromises there. After all, health is wealth, so we ensure it is well taken care of, for you and your family!
All QEDians are entitled to term life, accident, and health allowances commensurate with their salaries. There is also scope for free online health consultations, should anyone require them.
QEDians can avail family Mediclaim for themselves, their spouse, and up to 2 children. We believe in protecting not just our teammates but also the people they love.
In these unprecedented times, we QED42 have conducted periodic sessions on mental well-being, diet and nutrition, and COVID. We understand that these are difficult times and give utmost importance to the mental and physical wellness of QEDians.

Here at QED42, we like to help our teammates grow both personally and professionally, which is why we sponsor them with upskilling and other educational opportunities as they deem fit and necessary for their growth within the company and otherwise.
Events and conferences
At QED42, we like to watch and help our teammates which is why they’re sponsored for events and conferences. QEDians are motivated to participate in events and exhibitions both on a national as well as global stage and present their work. This provides employees with the benefit of interacting with like-minded colleagues, presenting their work globally, and also growing professionally.
Same page sessions
We provide ‘same page sessions’ which are holistic sessions to help with improved learning and productivity. These are empowering discussions that enable our teammates to grow through interactions with fellow QEDians.
QED42 is a product of the open-source movement, our belief in contributing back to open source is firm and is one of our guiding values to pursue. Our contributions to open-source communities like Drupal and React are based not only on our ethos of giving back but also on a desire to collaborate with some of the best minds across the world. We encourage and mentor all our team members to contribute and help build the open-source community.
At QED42, we follow the ‘Professional Development Ladder’ wherein a mentee gets guided career-wise, and with motivational, & emotional support by a mentor to show growth, develop skills, and set goals. This program is designed to benefit both mentor and mentee, wherein the former gets to brush up on their leadership skills and the latter gets to practice and demonstrate all that has been taught.
